In collaboration with Satsumasendai city, we held an event where families could learn about energy and the environment while having fun, including an SDGs carbon neutral quiz rally and experiential games.

【Support for *Children Cafeteria】

To address one of the regional challenges, child poverty, we are working on an initiative to donate supplies collected by the Kyushu Electric Power Group to children’s cafeteria.

Children Cafeteria・・・A “children’s cafeteria” refers to a place where children in the community are provided with free or low-cost meals.

The aim is to support children who may not have access to sufficient meals due to financial reasons or family circumstances. In addition to offering nutritious meals, it also serves as a place for children to interact with local adults and other children. The cafeteria is often run with the cooperation of volunteers, residents, and nonprofit organizations, and it plays a role in providing a safe space for children.

We aim to create a vibrant atmosphere in Satsumasendai by providing a space where three generations of families can gather, enjoy, relax, and learn together, a space filled with openness and smiles. It will also serve as a hub for co-creating a sustainable community.

In addition, Sen-no-Oto has achieved a net-Zero balance of annual primary energy consumption for the building by implementing high thermal insulation, introducing high-efficiency equipment, and installing solar power generation facilities, thereby obtaining the national ZEB certification.

ZEB stands for “Net Zero Energy Building” which refers to a building that aims to achieve a net-zero balance of annual primary energy consumption through energy creation and energy saving technologies.

We aim to achieve a carbon neutral society by reducing carbon dioxide emissions through the introduction of EVs and electric buses (Vehicle electrification).
